Accessibility

The museum is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility, specifying what follows:

Access for visitors with a wheelchair is simple from Piazza Capodiferro, where you can admire the decorated façade of the Renaissance Spada Palace; you can easily cross the 16th century Cortile degli Stucchi, embellished with the statues of the gods of Olympus and have a first glimpse of the Borrominian Perspective; you can go easily through the archway towards the Great Garden. Access to the Bookshop and to the Secret Garden is facilitated by ramps. The ancient Gallery at the first floor can be reached  only through an ancient spiral staircase; there is a small lift, but there are some steps to reach it: for this reason, if reduced mobility is complete, or if it is not possible to close the wheelchair, it won’t be possible to visit the picture collection. Nevertheless, you can easily visit the Secret Garden with the illusionistic Colonnade built in 1653 by Francesco Borromini.

Information for blind and partially sighted visitors:

The Gallery provides guided touch tours through the rooms of the Gallery and in the Secret Garden. Reservations required. Information at the Ticket Office number +39. 06.6832409 (Tuesday excluded).
